Planning an itinerary; fortnight in Argentian followed by a couple of days in Rio. We want to end the Argentine trip by taking in the falls with a couple of days at Iguazu; are there any reasons not to fly into IGR and then border-hop to Brazil to fly out of IGU to Rio? (The tours we are eying up include a border crossing in any case so that you can see the falls from both sides). I suppose the easiest thing is to stay on the Brazilian side once there? Any tips or warnings very welcome, thank you.

I happen to be booked SCL-AEP-GRU, all on a single ticket, with LATAM. It's a little unclear what my "transit" experience will be at AEP. Is there a sterile international departures area, and is it possible to remain there by not passing through immigration, and reclearing security only? My connection time is a little over 2 hours and I'll have handbaggage only, so if I have to enter Argentina it's not the end of the world, but I'd prefer not to.

Any information appreciated! I realize this is likely not a common use case for AEP :-)

United and Delta are suspending their flights to EZE in late October and early November. Construction work will leave only a short runway available which cannot accommodate fully-fueled North America-bound aircraft. Interestingly, American is reportedly planning to continue its flights but route them via Montevideo for refueling before returning to the U.S.

Is this work likely to be wrapped up and done on time? We were looking at booking UA for December but now I wonder if that's risky. Maybe I'm just being cynical but infrastructure projects in North America always seem to blow past their deadlines. Not sure what it's like in Argentina.
