Schedule changed for the ORD->HND flight and it caused me to have to overnight at HND and fly to Miyako the next day

I waited and was hoping for further schedule changes that could get me there with just a couple hour layover. Ended up finally accepting a change that required an overnight in HND because the options kept dwindling. I should of called initially but didn't.

My goal now was to get to Okinawa the same day so I wouldn't have to overnight in HND, and make this now my final destination. Phone agent since I accepted the change online nothing they can do, but they would of been willing to change my final to OKA and get me the flight the same day I land if I would not have accepted the changes.

Just wondering if that is the actual policy? Do not fly JAL frequently, but have made changes with multiple airlines, even after accepting a change in the past.

I do realize there are no changes with award tickets, but was hoping since they had a schedule change it could be a possibility. I can cancel for a nominal fee ($20ish per ticket), but the award cost has risen significantly for that day and the adjacent days.

Both adults have their names properly shown in the ticket i.e. LastName/FirstName.

However, in the child ticket, it is swapped i.e FirstName/Last name (Eg: if first name is Bradley and last name is Cooper, in the ticket is says Bradley/Cooper). As compared to in our tickets it says Cooper/Bradley.

Japan Airlines website says name changes not allowed and also says name should be exactly as per passport.

Anyone has recent experience flying on Japan airlins with similar issue? Because reddit says it should not be a problem and the checking agent should be able to fix it.
