This is being reported in the Japanese press. Keihan Bus, which operated buses in the Osaka and Kyoto area, received a written warning from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the bus being 14 seconds earlier than the published schedule.

Keihan Bus received comments/communications from passengers that their bus had left a bus stop earlier than the schedule. Keihan Bus has reviewed the logbook of buses and the drive recorder installed in their buses. Keihan Bus found out that at five bus stops in Hirakata City in Osaka, their buses have departed the bus stops 2-14 seconds earlier than the published schedule. Keihan Bus has reported their finding to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, and Keihan Bus has received a written warning from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism regarding this situation. Back in July 2023, Keihan Bus received a similar written warning from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism.

Did passengers really complain because the bus left 14 seconds earlier?

I have noticed that for some Japanese hotel chains some higher (larger) category rooms will not be listed as an option unless booking for 2 or sometimes 3 people. An obvious example is a "family room" If I book a family room for 3 people (and expect to pay that price)... do hotels have any issue if i check in by myself?

I'm looking at a Tokyu Stay for example, that has a 31 sq M residential family room in their inventory. It will only show as available if i try and book for 4 people. Am I perhaps doing some kind of Japanese social injustice taboo to families by trying to book this (and paying twice as much)?

I know you aren't supposed to but it has been awhile and I wanted to make sure but they gave this answer. This is for those premade, room temperature card board box curry sauces with beef, chicken, etc. (i never see vegetarian). Inside is a sealed retort pack. Do they cook the item inside the retort pack or just put the cooked item in it and seal it?

"The meat ingredients must be raw when placed in the final commercial container, such as a metal can, then cooked within the container using a commercial thermal process resulting in a hermetically sealed container which is then commercially labeled and shelf-stable without requiring refrigeration"

I hadn't paid attention to this before, but as I try to decide whether to keep this card I am weighing all the pros and cons.

I made a search for tomorrow, in Osaka, for four. There were only 23 places listed, average price was ¥15,000 per person. A couple just under ¥10,000 and a number at ¥20,000-30,000.

Only four places listed in all of Shikoku and Chugoku.

My conclusion is it seems fairly limited outside of Tokyo, and while the 20% cashback is nice, you are limited to a max ¥5,000 rebate from Jan-June and another ¥5,000 July-Dec.

These kinds of offers with lots of restrictions I usually find more work than they are worth.

We're flying to Japan next April for a cruise and stay. We want to fly business class mainly for the comfort of our old bones and it probably will be our last long haul holiday so want to make it special.

I'm studying Google flights daily and wondering if it makes any financial difference buying two singles or buying a return? Buying singles means I can try two airlines out

I'm looking at Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, JAL, ANA etc to get a premium experience, but not averse to other airlines if it's a good deal.
