Hi all,

I was booked on LX1058 ZRH-HAM on may 3rd. The flight kept getting delayed a few times before being canceled.
Reason for the delay was closure of HAM, due to a light aircraft that had a bumpy landing and had to be removed from the runway.

There were several delays that afternoon for all flights going north bound. The flight LX1054, std 50 minutes later than LX1058, was delayed aswell but did operate that evening.
LX responded to my compensation claim first with general "beyond our contol" reply. Upon request for detailed explanation for the cancelation they answered with ATC restrictions.

The fact that the later flight operated, but mine got canceled makes me wonder a little...
Unfortunatly expertflyer does not provide detailed flight information and reason for cancellation.

Could anyone with GSD access please check the flight status of LX1058 on may 3rd 2026 and post the reason for cancellation?

Thanks & cheers

Alex

I have a flight BUD - ZRH - Bordeaux. The ZRH - Bordeaux flight looks empty on Expert flyer. I understand that if flights are cancelled more than 14 days out, they still need to get you to your destination. How good are Swiss with this? Do they leverage LH flights or just stick to their own metal? Thanks for any advice, just trying to work out of I need to book a back up flight. If it makes a difference it is an Aeroplan (Air Canada) reward seat booking in mid June

Used the LX Senator line and was a bit surprised. I wanted to make a change to a booking on a LX flight. The person on the phone told me that the couldn't do it because this was a Lufthansa ticket, and I needed to call Lufthansa.

What puzzles me:

I thought they were one airline? They spend money on slapping the "part of Lufthansa Group" on every plane, but in places where it actually would be useful they are separate?

Even more puzzling: if I call at certain hours in the evening, the Swiss number gets rerouted to a Lufthansa call centre where they tell you that they are a LH call centre - but they work on LX tickets

So why are they separate companies and call centres during the day, but one company and call centre at night?

Can anyone explain to me the opening hours of the call centre that is "Swiss but cannot work on Swiss flights when on a Lufthansa ticket" vs the call centre that is "Lufthansa but also becomes Swiss at certain hours and can work on both Swiss and Lufthansa tickets"? Thank you.

We have also expanded our shuttle service at Zurich Airport for you. Starting immediately, as a HON Circle Member or guest in SWISS First, you can take advantage of an exclusive shuttle service between the SWISS First Lounges in Terminal E and Terminal A. The shuttle runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and offers a convenient transfer every 10 minutes—without long wait times or detours. Booking is easy and can be done at the reception desk of the SWISS First Lounge in Terminal E.

Seems like a long overdue enhancement, I just wondered though, how do I get to the E lounge when arriving in E? I believe I would have to somehow pass security again.
