Hello,

Probably a very silly question but I can't find a convincing answer in the LH nor M&M website.

To qualify as Senator, for example, one needs "2,000 Points and 1,000 Qualifying Points". So far as I can see Qualifying points are earned within the LH group and (not qualifying) points with the rest of *A.

2 questions :

1) Do they really mean "and" or is it (a total of) 2000 points of which 1000 must be qualifying?
2) Assuming they really do mean "and" can you get there with 3000 Qualifying points?

TIA

I'm traveling next month on an economy X award trip booked with UA miles. In the past, I've been able to see "buy up" upgrade pricing to both Premium Economy as well as to Business.

But this is no longer the case. The "upgrade" link is greyed out.

Has policy changed? Is this no longer possible to do on an award ticket? Or is it only now possible during or after check in?

Hello all,
Question on a typical Austrian flight from ZRH-VIE (and perhaps back):

1) How many boarding groups are there? 4? more than 4?
2) If one is on group 4, but is FTL LH*S can board before group 4? when?

Thanks in advance,

We depart our cruise ship at ~8:00am and have a Lufthansa flight from Copenhagen to Frankfurt at 7:20pm. We would like to explore Copenhagen during the day without storing our luggage. We will check in for our flight the prior day using the app and plan on our departure date going from the cruise ship terminal to the airport and attempt to check our bags at approximately 9:00am on our departure day (~10 hours before departure). The official Lufthansa statement is that you can check your bags up to 3 hours before departure. I have read some internet posts that some people have been successful with checking their bags prior to that by using the self-service kiosks. Has anyone had any experience with this situation?

If we cannot check our luggage early we plan to use the luggage lockers at the airport.

Purchased an economy flex tickets EU-TNR-EU. Ticket purchased in early March, for a flight on May 14. Upon purchase, it was made clear there were no penalties for refunds, and, based on the fare conditions displayed, everything seemed fully refundable.

However, I'm trying to cancel now, and LH claims that carrier imposed charges are non-redundable.

Is that expected? Nowhere in the purchase process did it display any part of fare, charges or taxes were non-redundable. I tried mock purchasing the same ticket in the last couple of days, and I cannot find any indication that any portion is non-refundable...

I sent them a form earlier this week since I don't want to accept a deduction from my refund... But knowing LH customer service, I don't expect to hear back by the time the flight departs.

What are the opinions of the forum?

This itinerary was changed following a cancellation two weeks ago, but I received an email at that time with the confirmed changes and new seat assignments. Segments and seats look OK as far as I can tell. If something else was updated, I can't tell what it was. But maybe I'm missing something? I don't recall ever receiving a random email about an update two weeks after changes were made. What should I be looking for?

A friend of mine took OS redeye from JFK earlier this week and she was woken up in the middle of the cruise by a cat that jumped on her lap. Few moments later a CC appeared saying 'sorry' and started to lift the cat. Cat held firm her with the claws and she ended up scratched on both legs. The crew never checked on her if she is OK or needs anything, like nothing has happened - sadly a typical example of OS crew behavior lately.
The most funny part is that she was really badly woken up by the cat and she thought it was just a dream until she saw the scratches later.
