I am going back to iceland after a few years, and as hard as I try, I cannot remember my previous visit details, and I need to hang out at the airport for about 2 hours once I land. So if anyone has been through there recently, I would appreciate some information.
1. Once I land and clear immigration, can I redirect myself to departures so that I can go to one of the restaurants until my ride arrives to pick me up.
2. Do I need an onward boarding card to eat at the departures area?
3. If I cannot, are there any open restaurants at 7AM in the morning after baggage claim.
4. If both are not options, can I store my bags at the airport for 2 hours while I head into town (closest restaurant) for a couple of hours?

Cheers

Hello,

I have a single booking between HKG and JFK with Finnair: HKG-HEL-JFK.

My question is whether I have to go through immigration in Finland or if I just stay in the international transit area going from one gate to another.

Thank you...
