Hello,

I will likely be flying SGN-DPS and have the option of either VietJet (8-13) for 178€ or Vietnam Airlines (10-15) for 277€, all in Economy. Already including the luggage I need.

Is there any good reason to prefer one over the other? Is it possible to buy priority services (e.g. prio checkin and boarding) with Vietjet similar to what AirAsia offers?

An alternative could be to redeem miles to fly VN in Business, but from what I can see the A321s are quite worn and there is no champagne or premium wine (as they describe) it on regional flights like this correct?

Right now I am inclined towards Vietjet and if necessary buying some addons, as it would still be cheaper and I might even have better seats etc than on regular VN economy.

Thanks!

Have been considering using Vietnam Airlines to fly SFO-SIN. There's a transfer in Saigon and I've read horror stories about immigration and security lines snaking through the terminals. For an international to international travel, are there any hidden bombs that result in ridiculous lines? We're used to transiting in Japan, which typically takes no more than 30 minutes, even with having to move from T3 to T2 (in the case of ANA flights to Singapore).

I can't risk not arriving into KUL with sufficient time to make the connection. Can I reasonably take this early AM flight on same day as connection, or need I fly the proceeding evening and overnight near KLIA?
Is AirAsia reliable in terms of keeping on schedule and not cancelling flights?
Thanks for any advice.
I don't want to have AAdvantage reissue the ticket. Realistically, how might I be able to change to the later flight without additional cost? If possible, should I try to make the change on arrival into CMB on the proceeding day?

I booked a flight to China on UA using miles LAX-HKG on UA and HKG-PEK on Air China (it's all one ticket). I have the Air China PNR but I cannot add my flight to the Air China iphone app.

My passport number is in the Air China app under Document Management in the Account tab.

Under My Trips, it says "Haven't got your trip? Please click here". So I click there and get the Add Trips page. It wants an ID number, which I assume is my passport number so I put that in. Then it asks for a Ticket number (only allowing numerical input so I can't use the Air China PNR) so I put in the UA ticket number starting with 016. It does not recognize this number.

I called UA to try to get the Air China ticket number and they told me that UA holds the ticket and there is no Air China ticket number.

I've called both UA and Air China with no luck. I only have 1 hr and 45 min layover in HKG and I do not want to have to deal with adding my trip in HKG when my layover is already short and I will be stressed.

How do I get my flight into the Air China app?

Will I be able to check in with UA at LAX for both legs?

What do I have to do in HKG if I cannot figure this out?

Thank you!

Hello!
I tried the search, but didn't find anything. I am on an ANA award on VN tonight: SIN-SGN-MUC in biz. Yesterday, I tried to select seats online, which I had not done yet, and was unable to do so on the VN website for the SIN-SGN leg. Just now, I tried to check in online, could not do so either (it will take me through all the steps, but then in the end tells me to try again or check in at the airport, also it said "waitlisted" on the page where I had to enter my contact information). On EF the flight is zero'd out in business class.

Anyone know if I have any immediate options? How early would VN re-book me, not until the flight closes? Do they re-book on other carriers? How about a different destination close by (i.e. ZRH instead of MUC)?
As far as I can tell, there are no other options to SGN that same night.

Thank you!

Does anyone know the realistic time it takes to transfer from T3 international to T3 domestic. I haven't checked in luggage on any flight since 2009 so baggage won't be an issue. I just need to clear immigration, get to the domestic terminal and pass through security so wondering if CGK has fast-track etc? Ideally I want to connect in 1hr35 otherwise theres an additional 2 hours to wait. GA sells the ticket as a valid connection so presumably its possible but just wondering how achievable it is in real life? Thanks for any help
