Currently, we were able to book two nights at the Hyatt Centric in Old Town Alexandria on points. Seems like a very good deal given the circumstances. The plan is to either book a boat that will launch from Alexandria and view from the water or just metro to the mall area.

One other option we have considered is just biting the bullet and booking the Park Hyatt for the night of the 4th and walking down to the mall.
