There is now a Radisson Blue Aruba that is also at Palm Beach, but not right on the beach, about a 5-10 minute walk along a street and past other hotels that are on the beach. There is an area on the beach with chairs and loungers for Radisson Blu guests. If you don't want to walk, the hotel runs a shuttle during the day (although we never actually saw it running).

What's unusual is that the building seemingly was built as apartments or condos, so each room is a suite with one, two, or three bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchenette. They apparently lock some of the bedrooms if they sold a room as only one or two bedrooms. Some of the rooms have balconies. The kitchenette has a space where a stove would be, with a vent and light over it, but no stove. There is a refrigerator and a microwave.

The sea is a bit odd for swimming: it's roped off about 20-30 yards out to keep people close to shore and allow boats further out. It's fairly shallow all the way to the rope, easy to stand anywhere, although the bottom feels mucky and unpleasant, like mud, rather than sandy. I tried to swim along the shore but almost ran into something that I avoided. Not sure if it's a large striped rock, coral, or maybe seagrass, but it was big and I didn't want to find out what it was so I turned around.

UPDATE: I found some information that says the hotel was new build, conceived as suites with full kitchens, washers and dryers, along with a steakhouse. It is currently a Wyndham Grand Salzburg, but converting in June to the Radisson Blu Hotel and Conference Center.
Two things interest me.
1. It's a very expensive time in Salzburg, but this hotel isn't bad for a suite with more room.
2. The suites come with lounge access.
When I reserved, the Presidential Suite actually had 2 bedrooms but Radisson has changed that to 1 so I way overpaid. So I'm changing to a less expensive suite. The issue is the suite photos are pretty dated, more so than the regular rooms, and I don't know if they are being updated with the changeover. And I know that any reviews about the lounge are probably not useful in light of the changeover. So I'll make the best choice I can with the information I can get.

Have any of you stayed here? Thoughts about the hotel, the suites, or the lounge? Heard anything about the change?
