Does anyone know if it’s possible to check in all luggage to RDU at MDZ? Or is that not possible, or risky? Since Delta and Aerolineas are Sky Team partners?

Dear fellow travelers,

I am writing to share a very frustrating experience with Vietnam Airlines and to warn anyone flying with them while hoping to credit miles to Air France Flying Blue.

Despite having my Flying Blue number clearly printed on my original e-tickets, Vietnam Airlines’ system automatically credited 5 of my flight segments to a Lotusmiles account that I never authorized for this trip.

It seems that simply logging into their website to "view" my booking triggered an automatic override of my original Flying Blue preference.

The issue: Vietnam Airlines customer service (both in Hanoi and Paris) acknowledges the flights were credited to Lotusmiles but refuses to cancel/reverse the credit, even when presented with the original e-ticket as proof of my initial choice.

This is a clear violation of SkyTeam passenger choice. They are essentially "holding my miles hostage" in a program I do not want to use.

Has anyone else faced this "automatic hijacking" of miles by Lotusmiles? Does anyone have a contact email for a SkyTeam ombudsman or a senior manager at Vietnam Airlines who actually handles technical discrepancies?

I am currently escalating this to the French Travel Mediator (MTV), but any advice from this community would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Bernard
