Which flight should I take?



I am looking to buy a one way AF ticket economy LIS – CDG. My options are

9:50 am – 13:20 pm with a 4+ hour connection in CDG or

12:15 pm – 15:45 pm with a 2-hour connection in CDG



I have a separate KLM ticket stock long haul biz flight CDG – AMS 5:50pm – 7:15 connecting to AMS – HKG departing at 9:25 pm.



If I take the 12:15 pm flight and there is an issue with the 12:15 pm flight, then I won’t make the long-haul flight. But there is a KLM LIS – AMS 3:35 pm – 7:30 pm flight.



So if there is an IRROP, will AF reroute me onto the KLM flight direct to AMS and get me onto my AMS – HKG flight?





CDG AF lounge

I have been in various higher end lounges over the years although primarily Star and OneWorld. I have seen the various influencer videos online regarding the AF lounges. Is the lounge worth just taking the earlier 9:50 am flight?

This year from the beginning of June until the end of September, Air France seem to be doing daily flights between LAX and PPT.

Does anyone know if they are likely to operate daily flights in 2027 during the same period, in particular August 2027?

There is an annoucement when the plane starts the descent for people to go back to seats and the crew to get ready for landing, this seems to be 30 to nearly 40 minutes before landing. Fortunately the toilets stay accessible until the normal 20 mins or so before landing.

Had not noticed this before on any other landing. I don't think there was turbulence expected.

In a scenario where all works out (arrive on time at 2F, walk fast, ULTI lane at passport control is open, no super early boarding of the connecting flight) - what happens if I just turn up at the gate of the departure flight and ask them to take me along?
