Can anyone tell me if they think this service is still worth it?

I've subscribed for three years and he doesn't owe me a penny!

Seriously, I enjoy the newsletter. We have all types on FT and clearly there are those as knowledgeable as Matthew Bennett, but I like his style and have learned a lot that was useful and helpful.

That said, I've written to give feedback and have not seen a change about the one issue I have with FCF. They sorely need to set up an index for old issues so that when you need information, it is easier to find than scanning the titles of every old issue. And BTW, I think it costs a bit more than $99 per year.

It's amazing how time flies. I looked through this thread and found that I responded in 2006. I still subscribe to First Class Flyer and still find it useful. Most of the suggestions in it tend to appear in FT but it's usually after they've come out in FCF. If you travel internationally, if you can be flexible, and if you hate flying coach, then, in my view, this is money well spent. FWIW, there are updates posted on the website in between the monthly issues and they are often time sensitive but useful.

Thanks to workandski and stevens397 for your input. I think I will give it a try.

Useful for newbies will to pay a premium for premium cabin travel. Everything in it is on Flyertalk but if you don't read it religiously like some of us do, or want it wrapped up in a bow then you may want to pay a premium for Bennett to do the work for you ;)

If you're a budget traveler or a Flyertalk Evangelist you probably won't pay.

I could not agree more. This subscription has literally saved me thousands of dollars. I need to travel 5 times per year from JFK-MNL. I used to fly CO out of EWR and paid about $8k for a J class ticket and then connected on CX to MNL. I subscribed to the letter and learned strategies that allow me to fly on CX from JFK-MNL in J for about $2k or even in CX F which is amazing for about $3k. The F ticket costs $15k-$20k and is such an amazing experience, I love FCF and will keep on subscribing.

I've subscribed to the newsletter like many others. Though I'm still at newbie FT there are many lessons that can be learned from FCF.

Usually the common consensus here is that the information is available on FT and other sites if you want to look around and really research it.

Any more recent thoughts? What level of service to people use silver gold or platinum?

SCAM! They advertise a free trial but charge you immediately upon creating your account then make it difficult to cancel the membership.
