Tim Dunn discussions
Right lets spill the tea.
If there can be dozens if not hundreds of posts on the bloggers, I think we can have one on this infamous blog commenter, Tim Dunn. So, what do you all know? |
It's AI prompted by any mention of DL on a BA blog or comment and approved by bloggers to increase comment engagement?

Here's what I know. I'll add some more later.
- He has claimed that "Tim Dunn" is his real name and has chastised others for not using theirs - Tim Dunn is not likely his real name, though using google there is this one guy whose a mayor in Liliburn, Georgia who fits his profile... - He has previously used airliners.net under the username "WorldTraveler" (https://www.airliners.net/forum/sear...=worldtraveler) - He was banned from a.net and tried to rejoin the site under other usernames like "atl100million" - His claims are routinely debunked - He has admitted to owning DAL/Delta and LUV/Southwest stock, which explains a lot - It's speculated that he is on the spectrum, and frankly that explains a lot |
I just know OMAAT users have a Tim Dunn derangement syndrome; every post in there that has Delta mentioned has users quickly going” wHeRe Is tIm dUnN?” (Even when he is not posting) Then, users create fake usernames to mock and inflate the comments section while Ben revels in all the engagement.

Interesting; I don’t read OMAAT but there is a “Tim Dunn” blog commentator on Cranky Flyer’s blog and the same behavior occurs. Cranky tries to shut it down though. I had seen comments on there that Tim Dunn behaves the same way in other places but always assumed that was Airliners.net.
He got banned from airliners.net |

Tim Dunn BANNED
Mr. Dunn is going around talking about how unfair Ben is. Thoughts. While I'm sort of annoyed by Tim, him posting a link showing the massive traffic drop in OMATT doesn't really seem like it's bannable?

If a commenter is notorious enough to have a dedicated thread on here about his disruptive conduct, it seems that a blogger may have good reason to ban them.
Here the blogger gave detailed reason for doing so, and it was not simply about posting about a drop in traffic I want to see how the comments section is without his incessant [insert whatever you call what he does]. I've informed him of this, but despite that, he has left over a dozen comments since (which just go into the trash folder), now even with different usernames... There are published commenting guidelines, which he repeatedly violated. The goal is to create a comments section that is useful and constructive. While Tim is knowledgable about some things, the way he expressed himself just created an unnecessary number of distractions. This explanation is consistent with the posts in this thread. |
