How much does the cruise industry pay for online advertisement placement/sponsorship and in lucrative referral business to those sending business their way? I don’t recall Deltapoints being big into covering the cruise industry.

Must be the "new thing." I've noticed that TPG now has a substantial number of cruise posts, with Gene Sloan among my favorite bloggers now.

Similar to hotel bookings but clearly off far higher rates.

Some people pay $10k+ for cruises. 4% of that isn't so bad, but I assume that the market for people willing to spend $0-$700 for a bank card fee is much bigger and less capped in the US than the market of Americans willing to pay $10k+ for a cruise in a year. |

I'm not in the blogging business. How does that compare with credit card commissions?
Credit car referrals earn $100 - $300+ per sign-up. BUT you have to truly be a titan to get cc affiliate $. Just about anyone can get a cruise affiliate link. Now compare that to an Amazon affiliate link, some of which are down to1% :o.

4% for a $3000-6000 booking wouldn't be so unusual, right?

To summarize: low barrier of entry and decent commissions = flooded crise affiliate content market. ;) And now ChatGPT does all the content creation for you!!!! |
