Is there a blog focused on getting value from strategic development of itineraries?

Is there a blog focused on getting great value from strategic development of itineraries? Since Drew at Travel is Free all but quit posting, I'm not seeing much. Scott at Milevalue used to have that as the key reason for his site, and he'll occasionally do an "Anatomy of an Award" piece, but those are becoming few and far between. VFTW is politics and customer service issues; Mommy Points is becoming a BOGO at Chipotle! site; Million Mile Secrets is all about credit card pitching; and OMAAT is the place to go for endless reviews of Middle Eastern business class products. Which is the blog I haven't heard of that teaches the tricks of getting the greatest itineraries for my miles?

The short answer to your question is "probably not."

That's unfortunate but comes as a result of a few things:
  • Fewer award charts allow for the creativity once so common in award bookings; United's latest change was another straw on that camel's back.
  • There is no money in talking about redemption compared to earning points. That makes it a harder sell to an author when it comes to deciding how much time to spend and where that time is going to go.
  • The "long tail" of content is arguably more valuable than the first week traffic if the focus is not pushing CCs or other affiliate links. And the redemption market changes too often for that to be useful.

On the other hand if you would write such a blog it would be a great business card for an affiliated award booking service....
