would there be a way to 'find' when certain FT forums are linked elsewhere?

(is that something google alerts etc can do for example?)

Searching google for link:URLtoCheck should work.

can google alerts do 'any threads in x forum' in other words partial url

to clarify
for example " flyertalk.com/forum/external-miles-points-resources/ "
so links to all threads in that forum, or the forum itself
