LOL "J. Scott Clark" seems to be another .... unsophisticated.... writer for this marketing site.

"It seems odd that United would take this stance on something as simple as changing seats especially if there were that many open seats on board. What does it cost the airline to allow that passenger to move to another seat and have a more comfortable experience? Nothing really."

The Points Guy - understanding profit motive when selling inferior credit products to unsophisticated consumers, but suggesting passengers should get to self-upgrade for free.

They must really be struggling for content! I'm surprised there weren't a few affiliate links sprinkled in there.

Recently I saw a post recommending NOT to apply for a credit card. I think the writer was summoned to explain himself and then was probably fired to send a message to the troops that such behavior will not be tolerated!

Well this explains why the Vegas odds on Seth being the next blogger to sell out to TPG just went down.

Seth and I shared a stage with Brian in London last week so he knows we get out occasionally :-)

Planes versus train: What’s the fastest way from Boston to NYC?

Yikes, what a terrible experiment. I'll admit that their previous experiment where they raced different transportation options to get to the airport in New York, was actually a decent read and informative, this one was anything but that.

They picked LGA and EWR for the two airports to race against the Acela Express. Why not JFK? Why are they taking Uber and Lyft everywhere where there is public transportation that can get them around traffic?

With all of these services being scheduled, everyone leaving at the same time breaks this experiment. Any reader who would want to take a similar trip would evaluate all of their options based on schedules. JetBlue being the fastest in this case would not be the same case if the next flight isn't until after the next train or the next United flight to EWR.

Looks like the people at the fruit HQ paid RV to push the iphone 11. Zach went all out:

Of course no mention in the tweets that these are sponsored messages.

I much prefer the transportation mode races that they used to do on Top Gear!

Fun fact, Apple doesn't pay influencers to promote new iPhones - they don't need to. Influencers do it for the views.

Apple does, however, control who gets review units. Access is just as important as money sometimes. I'm not saying anything unethical happened here (nor am I aware whether or not Zach got a review unit), just pointing that out.

I'm pumped for Zach that his article got so much pub, it was really well done.

This list, which is based on some form of actual statistical analysis, doesn't look anything like TPG's list. How odd.

"Mega" airports: DTW, MSP, LAS
"Large" airports: PDX, LUV, TPA
"Medium" airports: IND, JAX, BUF

You mean random 20-somethings you hired for a marketing job who appear to have been to four airports in their lives don't have a reputable methodology???
