I love how much money these folks are spending in a battle over TPGs attempt to use AA's software to get more suckers to give it money. Case in Texas will continue.https://storage.courtlistener.com/re...101.29.0_3.pdf

I don't usually come to FT to light a writer on fire, and I actually recommend TPG (with major caveats) to newbie friends as a place to grab the basics before going (very quickly) to better sites. But this article was so hilarious I had to comment.

Apparently, all you need for 100% approval success is to:
  1. Avoid staying at hotels you actually want to stay at.
  2. Avoid aspirational properties globally.
  3. Avoid busy US hotels.
  4. Call any upgrade a "suite", no matter how minimal the upgrade.
  5. Ignore declined requests in your count if the year isn't over, because you might get approved later. Thus, "100% approval rate" is still intact.
My eyes are stuck in mid roll and I can't get them back down lol. I wonder why TPG doesn't allow comments on their articles anymore.

To be fair I have had a genuine 100% strike rate this year having burned 12 of my 15 so far. Admittedly not all at top hotels but as I am not trying to retain Titanium I am using them on every stay I do.

Guess not retaining Titanium should be less painful than not retaining water.

You made me choke on my morning cereal with that comment!

And how stupid is calling every upgrade a suite, even when it is not a suite....
I am a very forgiving type but even my stomach has limits with that fluff piece!
