Travel and Dining

Why is the blogger stuff located in Travel and Dining? Doesn't seem like a logical choice for me, plus with a weird name of external miles and resources- it seems like the most convoluted way to incorporate this subforum into FT.

The only way I find this forum is clicking through old 'subscribed threads'

As Yoda would say 'do or do not, there is not try'

Thoughts?

See post #3 in this thread... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/exter...mpr-forum.html I really don't know why. Maybe the new talkboard can adress that?

Yep, it seems to me that if FT wants to make this sub forum work it needs to move to a place people can find it, but perhaps it's the 'external' aspect that is worrisome since it can be taking traffic from FT to external places which might be unwanted.

Not to my knowledge. Why not raise the point in the TB thread?

From a political or technological perspective?

This forum has the phrase "Miles and Points" in the title. There is an entire section of FT called "Miles & Points." If that's not a good indication that the two should be quite closely tied together I don't know what is.

bhatnasx already raised this very point in the TB thread back in April:

Perhaps some more support is in order?

I agree - it seems that the entire thing is so disconnected that I would never know that this happened either...

It's my opinion that this area for bloggers is a failure thus far, simply because people don't know where the to look for things.

The 'forum jump' navigation tool works to find it also.

Why not subscribe to the forum and add it to My Flyertalk, then set My Flyertalk as your FT bookmark? All I see when I come to FT are the 6 forums I subscribe to, unless I choose otherwise.

How so? The jump tool appears to 'jump to M/P, T/D, Community, Destinations' how does that help me if the sub forum is located in some random one of these (I use the word random to describe any forum other than miles and points)

Is that message sent out to all new and old users of FT regarding how to find forums that are pretty much hidden?

I appreciate your response and thank you for sharing a new way for me to find this - but since all the other people who could be in here talking aren't this answer somewhat falls flat in addressing the fact that the bloggers section has a name that is convoluted and confusing, and is located in a forum that is incongruent with the subject.
