I'd like to call for a moratorium on the use of the word "amazing."

It's not 1K a day. It's 2 cards per transaction. Unless things changed in the past two weeks.

True Bluebird only lets you load 1k a day.

I second that motion! I'd also add:

-"value proposition"
-any mention of The Maldives

So they let him buy stack of 100 cards with 50 different transactions and no-one calls a manager or something? I had problems paying for 2 transactions with same card because register was rejecting same card and I had to use another card to pay.

Wouldn't it be good if Vanilla Reloads disappeared completely and people could earn miles by... oh I don't know, flying?

Amen!

Actually for a complete history of a deal getting way over-abused, read this one:

http://slickdeals.net/f/5876538-Free...8-Mar-14-2013?

The needle on this one was just past my moral compass as it were, but couldn't help but watch the train wreck unfold over past few days. Highly entertaining!

This sort of nonsense has to stop, really. No more VR's would be good for those who actually earn miles by flying.

You got to move to NC. And I am petitioning the governor to ban anyone from Ann Arbor to cross the border

Or by buying them from US to go SYD-ICN-SPN-ICN-SYD as a 30K intra-S. Pacific award.

Useful for what? I find Cranky Flier to be tremendously useful for insight into the industry. Not going to find a lot of trips to the Maldives and credit card schemes there, though.

I'm going to guess that VR's are going to be gone soon, but that doesn't make it any easier to earn miles by flying. CC bonuses are still going to be huge as miles make huge amounts of money for airlines.
