Casa Montani

Hey everyone!

Today, I'm excited to share a short review of the Casa Montani Rome, a lovely boutique in Rome, Italy.

For an extended version of this report, as well as additional hotel and airline reviews, check out my website, tuchlife.com. Thanks and enjoy the review!

Check In

Upon arriving at the address, while it appears to be an apartment building, the Casa Montani is nestled into the pre-war residential building. After a few turns through the entryway, a fascinating vintage elevator and a beautiful marble set of stairs lead up to the hotel. While the elevator made me a bit timid at first, I came to love it for its character and charm. The Casa Montani is locate directly off the elevator on the fourth floor. I was surprised how secure the guesthouse door was, with multiple deadbolts and electronic keycard access-a great point of security valued staying in a large city like Rome. The Width of The ElevatorEntrance To The Casa MontaniSitting AreaMain Hallway

Room

The room was stunning. Immediately you enter into a small sitting room. There was a nice daybed, along with some artwork, and a rather large television. A large window opened on to the Piazza de Popolo; Perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning! Through a pair of sliding doors lies the main bedroom with a double bed, which could be separated if desired. In lieu of nightstands, there were two large vanities which could also be used for getting ready before a day of exploring the city. Further, there was a large desk and bench for additional seating and work space.

Two large windows with charming, historical Italian railings look out upon the streets below. The view was so nice that I pulled up the bench to the open window and read a book that night, enjoying the warm summer night. I immediately fell in love with this room, an oasis among the busy Italian capital flocking with tourists and locals alike.Gorgeous Windows

Finally, the bathroom. The bathroom was beautiful, however was a bit on the smaller side. However, it is Europe afterall, where hotel rooms are known for being notoriously small compared to North America. I thought the space was used quite efficiently, however, and no expense was spare in regards to fixtures and amenities. The hotel even stocked Hermés bath soap in the rooms!Bathroom

Dining

One final detail to note-the hotel does not maintain its own restaurant or standard room service. We accepted this as a sacrafice of the intimacy of a botique hotel experience, often times. However, the hotel did offer breakfast service, which I found appropriate given it's the meal people generally enjoy the most lazily. The staff catered the breakfast from a local eatery every morning. It was quite tasty and included fresh fruit, as well as a plethora of main course and bakery options.

Overall

Ultimately, my family and I really enjoyed the Casa Montani. I would certainly recommend the hotel to all looking for a botique hotel or apartment rental experience while in Rome!
