closest to the airport, but......
Introduction We selected this property, since it was the closest hotel to the airport and we had an early am departure to North America. As a Marriott Rewards Platinum guest, I looked forward to enjoying the upgrade amenities. Turned out to be a bad choice:- the 5th floor lounge was closed. Why was this not disclosed in advance?- we did not receive a room nor a suite upgrade. The hotel was empty?- the normal amenities did not exist in our room;- the Marriott Fitness area was inadequate.On checkout, I asked for the contact information for the GM. Reaching out to Ingrid was a complete waste of time. She took zero responsibility for anything. In fact, she made up facts (e.g. upgrades were based on availability, while the hotel was empty!). My advice? Don't ask Ingrid for anything. That way you won't be disappointed.
