It is perfect to use the 35,000 point annual reward nights. Its summer peak season price can be as high as $360+ per night. You'll have to book reward nights early since the hotel sells out very quickly during summer peak season. Check In Like most Courtyard, no bell staff on duty. Front staff was friendly. As Marriott Plat member, we were upgraded to a large family suite on the 6th floor with lake view. It is facing lake and there is an nice balcony. The hotel rooms have some variations, but the room sizes are very similar. High level lake view rooms are highly desirable. The hotel has a double deck parking garage on the back of the hotel. Hotel gives a parking sticker with the vehicle. The garage fills up quickly at night. Room This is a large family suite with two king size beds. It is not common to have two king size beds in one bedroom. The balcony overlooks the main Canadian Street:There is no road noise at night. The bathroom is clean and comfortable. Pool There is a small indoor pool on the ground floor. Not many people use it. Guests enjoy the outdoor beach better. Gym The gym is also small. It is there if guest wants to keep busy. Service The hotel staff was friendly. They were happy to provide info about the town and the attractions. All the coffee shop and restaurants are independently owned, not owned by the hotel. Dining The Lake George Coffee Company serves coffee and other drinks. Looks very standard.There is a lobby bar that serves alcohol drinks.The Charlie's Bar and Kitchen is the full service restaurant inside the hotel. The food actually was pretty good and the prices not high. We enjoyed the food that. Location Lake George is the summer vacation hot spot for a lot of the New Yorkers. It is a quick drive from New York and the tri-state area.The best of this hotel is its location. There are just so many things to do. The main stree is full of shops and restaurants:The steam boat is the main attraction:The Million Dollar beach is another attraction. The lake also offers opportunities to do boating, fishing, parasailing, hot ballooning. There are also extensive trail systems for hiking and biking. Overall As a summer vacation hot spot, Lake George is packed with visitors, particularly the families with kids. Lake George offers tremendous opportunities for all kinds of summer activities.Courtyard is the newest addition to Lake George. It is about the only hotel that is expected to open year around. Locals expect the hotel to bring some guests to the town during the dead winter.We always like new hotel. This hotel is located at the town center, close to all shops, restaurants and all other activities. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable.This hotel is still at 35,000 points level, not like some of the other Courtyard hotels that have been raised to 50,000 point level. This is a good candicate to redeem the 35,000 award nights.
