I do not think that they offer any pre ordering on economy or even PE. I did try on PE and never got any so far.

Thank you. Quite the departure from the Krug Rose they used to serve!

I must say it is quite surprising reply. Yes, the whole trip (WAW-AMS-BKK-KUL) will be done with three different airlines but it's something completely new for me that it might have any impact on meals available on one of these flights.

I'm not a demanding customer and don't care about special treatment, so I'm not going to make any further arrangements with Eva's reservation office. Nevertheless, I must say that this situation is quite unique and odd.

Three weeks out now and I have many more options than you, for IAH-TPE:

Also, for those reading, any suggestions? I do love lobster, but kind of leaning lamb neck?

Well, it seems that I've bad luck this time, or routes from Europe (at least from AMS) are not treated equally with ex-Asia as regards on board meals.
Two weeks later I'll have return flight BKK to LHR so there'll be opportunity for comparison.

Mine is ex-US, but yes, your point is taken. Sorry you're getting the short end of the stick!

Current champagne is Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle for TPE-JFK/CDG and 2006 / 2007 Duval-Leroy Clos Des Bouveries for all other long-haul.

For PE between TPE-SIN/NA/EU, you can pre-order regular meals for free. For PE and Y, you can also pre-order special meals for a fee. Flight Information- Meal Order - EVA Air | North America (English)

Lobsters on BR are usually pretty good (despite the portion being a bit small), but the lamb neck does look interesting. I used to love the lamb rack, but had a really badly prepared one on a recent SEA-TPE flight. I might go for the lamb neck just for trying something new (at least to me).

Found messages with SO of me complaining the lack of online exclusive meals for my AMS-BKK-TPE flight last September, so I guess you are just seeing typical AMS catering. Too bad you are not continuing to Taipei, otherwise the unadon was fantastic.

And now here are my options for TPE-BKK. The Western choice is... odd for breakfast.

Recent trip NRT-TPE

I went for the grilled chicken kuwa-yaki. Not that great actually. Chicken tasted rather heavy and gamey. Forgot the dessert pic. It's a mochi.

TSA-HND

I actually had the beef cheeks. Amazing. Last time I had similar beef cheeks was on a J class AM out of CDG. Dessert not shown was haagen daz + fruits.

I'm able now to choose meals for my return flight and choice is much bigger, including lobster.
