If by fishy you meant unpleasant fish smell, then no. I’ve always chosen the chopped chili sea bass when the option exists. Definitely one of my favorite meal choice tPAC.
Seconded! My partner thought the fish wasn't great quality but this was one of my favorites when we flew this month.

I don't consume much meat but I tried the cheese stuffed chicken on SEA-TPE and regretted it 😣

Not pictured - the beef noodle soup for bfast was outstanding!

Abalone starter (loved it)

I think this was a squash soup with fish (surprisingly good)

Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Chopped Chili Paste Served with Multi Grain Rice (loved it)

BR 212 BKK-TPE December 2023 (Basically all BKK-TPE non-breakfast flights)

December 2023
EVA Airways Royal Laurel Class
BR 212 Bangkok to Taipei Taoyuan

Back to normal – hot towel service has returned to all EVA Air business class flights, along with printed menus and wine lists, despite being printed in thinner paper and instead of a booklet, the menu is just a thin folded paper. Honestly, I don’t mind it at all. The F/As still collected those menus but they were clearly not being reused. Call me crazy but now I am more than happy to fly EVA Air again especially I like their more reasonable daytime transpacific flights.

EVA has this main course forever. I had this many years ago (at least 3 years ago, pre-covid). The chicken breast was overcooked and very dry. I took a couple bites and stopped, didn't want to put this kind of food through my mouth and bear the burden of burning calories from this food. The problem is there is no other better choices.
I really don't think the EVA catering worth the hype.

I am afraid of flying United all together and haven't done it since that poor doctor got dragged off the plane on the floor with a bloody nose. Thankfully, I have very little need for domestic travels these days. I used to be 1K for a few years during my corporate life, I had my share of unpleasant experience with United. So, now I gladly boycott United.

TPE to SFO

Pre-ordered the steak - it was cooked perfectly.

Pork rib and noodle soup for breakfast- was also excellent. Made even better when I asked for some chili crisp to add some spice.

Japanese option- chicken with onion sauce

Everything was great except for the chicken itself. Flavor wasn't anything special. Dessert really good.

First time flying EVA and super overwhelmed by the huge menus.

For lunch, we're def getting the lobster but any thoughts about duck confit vs black cod?

For dinner, again lobster for sure but torn between sea bass, spare ribs, and pork belly.

Help please 🙏🏻

Generally I enjoy BR's seafood, so I'd go with black cod. I also love the sea bass and I think many on this thread agree. I've also tried to pork belly and it was quite good as well. Perhaps if you want something light(er) go with the sea bass?

I don't think so. But on return if the flight stops by BKK, you might get the choice of unadon.
