EVA or Thai in J
Hi,
I've never flown eva, but have flown thai in J many times. Im going to Vietnam from frankfurt in January. Options are to fly Frankfurt - Taipei- Bangkok - Ho Chi , with Eva. Other option is frankfurt - Bangkok- Ho Chi with Thai.
I've never been on eva, but do you think its that much better than Thai so that its worth to do one more leg in asia just to get the long leg with eva?
Thanks

Thai J is better than Eva.
Eva was much better pre-covid, but service level has deteriorated significantly. It is one of the worst airlines nowadays in Asia. SQ, OZ, KE, NH, JL, MH, VN are all better. I would strongly recommend to avoid Eva. Its hard product remains good, but service has gone downhill and the airline should be avoided especially in J.
See below a recent review of Eva poor J service (sorry German only but scenes and faces show it all):

Someone mentioned the risk of equipment change with TG. I don't think this risk is significant for FRA. TG schedules for FRA is fairly established now.
