Why are so many EVA flight attendants on Instagram?
Most seem to do it for publicity, but why? They blur their name tags. They show their travels and purchases. They often show other flight attendant colleagues but rarely friends and family.
A few do show friends and family and tend to be less showy.
Still others set it to private.
When there was the strike, none of them had strike photos but some did post some Instagram Stories about the strike, which is a short video that is online for only 24 hours. That leads me to believe that some flight attendants want to create an image, maybe be a brand influencer, on Instagram. Is it encouraged by the airline?
I don't see these kind of behavior in Instagram for other airlines. Maybe a little with China Airlines. In contrast, one American Airlines flight attendant shows her travels to exotic locations but it's also posts personal pictures, friends, boyfriend, etc.

Pretty normal in America and Europe too (at least for the cabin crew that isn't old enough to be my grandma). Search for the hashtag #cabincrew and see what pops up.
