BR issued CX ticket (strike rebooking)--Star Alliance lounge access?

Odd question, I ended up with a CX ticket due to strike rebooking. It is still issued by BR with a BR eticket number... so will I get Star Alliance lounge access and/or other benefits?

No, you will not, At least not based on *A status on a OW carrier.

But on the positive side, this is very likely rebooked as a full J fare so be sure to credit the miles somewhere that makes sense for you. Check out www.wheretocredit.com

I wish! It's a PY fare originally and rebooked into W. CX (with a newer aircraft) is arguably an upgrade over BR but not with losing lounge access and miles being less useful (don't have OW status, only *A)...

Some airlines have "original routing credit" rules for their FFPs where you can claim credit for the originally booked carrier/routing.

This. I am always successful, with United at least, with original routing credit.

I wonder if BR would provide a lounge pass to their own lounges in this situation.
