BR 27 SFO-TPE Bird Strike and Retunred to SFO
Incident: Eva B773 at San Francisco on Nov 25th 2018, bird strike
Crazy only 187 people onboard.
Also, the Taiwanese media (which is known for the lack of thoroughness) first reported Mayday was declared but then BR said no - all the metrics looked normal and they only decided to return to SFO as a precaution. Debate on Mayday or not is also on the link posted.

Load is normal for the end of the school holiday week. Flight never reported Mayday according to the ATC audio available. However, they did report #1 Engine Failure. Thankfully, they are right next to a major mx station that has a pretty substantial mx contract(Menzies and TechOps) and a significant outstation staff presence with easy rebooking options.
Update: BR reports everyone was rebooked onto BR7. AvHerald request for comment was refused.
