Is BR reconfiguring 77W Y cabins in 2016?

In this article from CAPA on CX, a prediction is made that the carrier will move to 10 abreast on its 777s.

There's also a quote in there which claims that BR is reconfiguring some 777 cabins to 10 abreast. That's the first I've heard of it.

Accurate?

On a related note, does anyone know if the triple sevens with the original economy seats that are green color are going to be upgraded to the latest economy seats which are nine abreast, dark color, much better IFE screens?

I think someone said in this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...777-300er.html that the 77N->77M retrofit included Y, which was sort of unexpected for me.

As far as 10 abreast seating, I hope if they do it, it will be only for regional routes (PVG, PEK) that needs the extra capacity.

Ah, thanks for reminding me of that thread.

New seatmap posted Dec 2015 shows 9 abreast.
