It's a great seat unless there's a crying baby in the bassinets right behind you.

Ugh damn. Great point. Plenty of middle section seats available but don’t seem to be that private

I wasn't being snarky, it's a great seat, there's just the unpredictable risk that comes with being right in front of the bassinet seats. I flew it in May and had an awesome flight. Can't wait to fly BR again. Just need to order my meals in advance next time.

11K has been my favorite seat whenever I traveled in RL over the years. I did not remember being disturbed by crying baby. More disturbances from opening/closing curtains by FAs or Elite pax looking for toilet.

I hope you mean 11k...otherwise you'll be seated in the small gap between the 11k and the bulkhead wall

11k is nice unless you encounter a baby in 20A/C.

ha yes 11k.

Are all the 773s (apart from the HK ones) the same? Option has come up to fly via Vienna and it’s a 773 from there too like from JFK

Info is in the wiki.

TPE-VIE operates with 77M aircraft, JFK-TPE operates with 77A aircraft. The difference in RL is the location of the lavatories, the Panasonic EX3 on the 77A, and the tablet-style interaction on the 77A. I personally prefer 77A because of the use of the new and brighter LED lighting in the cabin compared to the dim yellow ones in the 77M. There is no difference in the shell of the seat.

If i am flying from Houston to TPE in January, is it possible to see the northern lights? if so, can we only see it on the K seats?

thanks in advance

It will depend on the routing and whether or not that day's jet stream force it to go high up into Alaska or cut through the West Coast of the USA.

It's pretty unusual. I lived in Anchorage for several years, and traveled there frequently for several more, and only saw northern lights from the aircraft once or twice in probably over 100 flights.

And yes, they would be to the north, off the right side of the aircraft. That time of year, you are likely to take a northern route due to strong jetstream.

i have seen the northern lights on quite a few BR flights from JFK to TPE. And, I saw it from the A seats, which was strange.

Hello all, I'm flying YYZ-TPE on a 77A in economy. If selecting seats by the window, does it matter if it's the first section (row 45-58) or the second section (row 60-73)? I won't be able to select bulkhead. Would one section be roomier than the other? Thanks!

I'm about to book into premium economy, but there isn't a page to select a seat. Is there a surcharge to select a seat after purchasing a ticket on Eva?
