SEA will have 77W starting in August 2014 (3X a week). I do not see 77W for YVR this year.

I am flying JFK-TPE and I would have liked to get row 3 window but all of Row 1 and Row 3 are blocked out. With that I am looking between 2K and 5K...are they still close enough to the middle of the cabin to no be disturbed by what's in front and back from the FAs service?

5 would be closer to the lavs and the galley where 2 would just be closer to the front galley. Is that just a beverage galley and all food comes out of the back one?

I've had lemon ricotta pancakes which are essentially pancakes made with some ricotta cheese and…lemon. I found them much better than normal pancakes because they had some zest. Not sure how the carrot would be on this but of the breakfast meals that is what I would pick…also I have never had congee but I think that may change the 1-7th when I'm in Hong Kong.

Keep in mind departure time, 1:30 am if on time . There are only meal services, first after take-off and second about 2 hrs before landing.

I've sat in numerous different rows and while the middle ones are quieter, I don't think any are particularly noisy. Even the last row where deluxe seats are right behind the curtain.

I will be flying from YYZ to TPE and my seat is 06D. I am just wondering if the lavatory next tp me will be an issue. This is my first time flying EVA as I fly with Air Canada most of the time. My only other seat options are 10G / 11 A, D or G. I prefer to stay in the front section though as I had a bad experience with the cabin behind me being too noisy. Any suggestions to this route are welcome

7D is closer to lavatory. 6D is actually between 5A and 6A. You should be fine.

Row 1 and 3 are reserved for EVA top elite flyers. My experience is that if you go to evaair.com 24 or 72 hours (forgot exactly) before the flight, row 1 and 3 may be available to reserve. You can always ask at the check-in counter.

If I were to choose a window seat in front section of 77N, I would pick A instead of K. There is a small galley in front of 1K but not 1A. Therefore aisle between A and D has less FA traffic. However, if you sleep on the plane most of the time, it does not matter. If you are awake and watching TV, you feel FAs walking past you a lot when it is near meal time.

For anyone who has flown in 6A or 6K, is it too close to the lavatories? Mostly for the odors.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I was in 6K yesterday because travelling with parents (7D/G) who needed to be close to the lavatories. No problem for me, no offensive odor, just occasional EVA Cymbopogon perfume smell from people passing by after visiting the lavatories. You may smell the food being heated up by the galley before meal time.

Thanks! I was actually able to switch my seat to 1A two days ago (72 hours before take off). Will try to observe and report back!

Anyone know if the RL improvements has gone into effect for non JFK/LAX flights yet ?

It Depends..........

You want aisle? window? exit row? bulkhead? front or rear cabin? sitting across hot FA? near washroom?

I suggest checking SeatGuru or EVAAir.com seat map

aisle seat, (the more space the better). SeatGuru isn't updated and eva air Seat Maps don't tell you how much pitch you have. I'm thinking exit row seats have the most space but I was wondering if there were any other seats like that.
