So 11A was fine. There was a bassinet in use behind me, but the crying was minimal and not an issue. The flatulence from one of the passengers nearby was pretty bad, however. That of course has nothing to do with the seat

First time on Eva. Crew was phenomenal, up there with the best I've ever experienced.

Traveling as a couple, currently booked into 3D/G.

How are these seats in terms of noise and traffic from forward lav/galley?

Thanks

Very minimal. You are smack in the middle of the cabin.

On a side note:
Anyone flying BR7 SFO-TPE should plan for delays accordingly. The aircraft has blocked off and departed late more than 50% of the time this month, resulting in a late arrival into TPE. They are operating at a time when SFO I Terminal is at capacity so gate space and traffic is holding them back.

Do you know if BR27 also being held back? I am flying next month on BR27 and I have a connecting flight at TPE. This is my FIRST flight on EVA's 777-300er in Royal Laurel Class and I selected the only window seat available in the front cabin 6K, any thoughts? There are still plenty of window seats in the second cabin.

BR27 departs literally 12 hours later than BR7, at 1:20 a.m. . . . there are only a handful of departures at that hour.

Hello everyone,

I'm flying out of San Francisco on BR7 at the end of August, just wondering if the dispute regarding the crew hours is still on going? And does anyone know exactly what version of the 777 is on this route (new vs old)? I'm currently booked in 10A

First time flying EVA across the Pacific so I'm looking forward to seeing how this compared with my previous CI and UA flights.

Thanks!

The dispute was resolved when they announced they were going 3x weekly. Crews don’t have to do next day turns in SFO anymore.

Plane type used should be 77B. You can identify yourself too by going to the seatmap and looking if economy is in a 3-4-3 configuration in the Manage Your Trip(seat selection) section.

Thank you, it is the 3-4-3 configuration... I read in a previous thread some of these planes have a pretty outdated interior with an older IFE system. Assuming if it's the reconfigured cabin it can't be too bad though... thanks for your help!

77B(3-4-3) is only on the newest planes in the fleet with the newest IFE system. All 10-abreast planes have been delivered brand new in the last two years. Don't know where you saw that incorrect info.

Hi. First time flying on EVA. Booked in J for an upcoming YYZ -- >TPE trip. When selecting seats the BR seat map on their site vs seat guru is different when I do a flight # search. Which version of the 777 is going to be used for this route? I've got 10a in the rear cabin since all the window seats are taken in the forward cabin. I'm actually surprised by the heavy load in J as there are only a few seats left (~10) available for my trip mid August. There are some middle seats in the forward cabin but I generally try to stay in the rear cabins for the quieter "mini-cabin" like feel.

I'm also doing the DPS-TPE-YYZ return segment. Not too concerned about the A332 as I know it's going to be the old angled lie flat seats. Anyone know if you'll recieve a full meal for the short DPS-TPE segment? And any difference in the 777 from TPE-YYZ segment I should be aware of? On my return leg I've chosen forward cabin 5k

I primarily fly on north American/European carriers so am not used to Asian carriers but keep hearing all these great things about BR. Any info on what to expect is much appreciated!

Gquie, your DPS >TPE will certainly have a full meal since it’s 5 hrs. I flew a shorter route from NRT to TPE and had a full lunch (it was hello kitty livery). Since your flight leaves in late afternoon, you will likely get a dinner. Probably not as complete as your Toronto flight, but not a snack either.

Be sure to book your meals on the TPAC routes. You will love EVA. Might favorite airline by far.

Agree. should be full meal and should also be bookable in advance on the EVA Manage your trip website...that's for transpacific and the shorter flight.

For those confused by Seatguru, see below:

Seatguru V1 = 77N 38-64-211 (no longer in service - they really should remove this version!)
Seatguru V2 = 77A 39-56-238 (9 abreast Y)
Seatguru V3 = 77M 38-64-221 (9 abreast Y - 77N with 10 more seat added to the rear Y cabin)
Seatguru V4 = 77B 39-56-258 (77A but with 10 abreast Y)

I will add this info to the wiki
