Eurostar London to Amsterdam, stop at Rotterdam

Eurostar booked for London St Pancras to Amsterdam Centraal direct
Can I get off earlier at Rotterdam Centraal instead? It appears Rotterdam Centraal is gated and requires ticket scanning.
I wanted a quick stopover at Rotterdam and will purchase a local Rotterdam to Amsterdam train ticket in addition.

Any advice?
