Compra Múltiple - Multiple Train Ticket Spain
 

Hello all - We will be in Spain in December travelling Madrid to Sevilla to Cordoba and back to Madrid - putting in our route into the Renfe website, I am getting a total ticket price of 488,20 € however, it looks like I can only put in 4 passengers as adults and cannot see a place for children - Is the Compra Múltiple only for 4 tickets regardless of age? I haven't looked at individual tickets- point-to-point and am wondering if this would be the cheaper option with 2 adults and 2 children instead?

Renfe's website has an option for adults and children (ages 4-13) right on the homen page.

You can buy up to 9 tickets.

The timetable is not open past Dec 12 yet.

Are you choosing 1st or 2nd class travel, and how old are the kids?

Most probably second class - kids are 9 and 13. There seem to be many different options - looking for the easiest and cost effective.

Yes. You can criss cross the country o as many trains in one day if you like...

I don't know about 2nd class, but on 1st class, I had to pay a 30 euro surcharge per journey (mainly because in 1st class, I got a meal and free drinks). For the high speed trains you need to book the seat reservation and pay the surcharge in advance.
