London Spezial by DB?

Hello

I am trying to find the information about this promo by DB: http://www.bahn.com/i/view/GBR/en/pr...-spezial.shtml

Is this still a thing? Whenever I try to search dates possible for this, I am getting this message:

No offer could be found for the stations you requested. This could be because the route you requested is not served by long-distance trains (e.g. EC/IC, ICE, CNL) but only by regional trains (e.g. RE, RB, S-Bahn) or because the fare can only be calculated for part of the route. Please change your request parameters.
Am I possibly doing something wrong?

I tried the same request (using some different parameters) and got the same response, so I don't believe you are doing anything wrong.

Given the quoted fares are “from” Euro 59 to Euro 159 in second class and are likely to quickly increase to the upper range over time, it might pay you to contact DB (UK) by telephone and seek information:

[Deutsche Bahn UK Booking Centre Tel: +44 8718 80 80 66 (Calls cost 8p per minute from a BT landline. Calls from other networks and mobiles may vary)].

Good luck.

I saw this problem when I checked earlier in January.

Just checked again and there is an exclamation mark next to the Eurostar/ICE connection to Cologne (for example).

Hovering over the exclamation mark reveals "Disruption: Sparpreis bookings from London will be possible from 15.01.2016."

My normal go-to site for most European train booking is http://loco2.com. They tweeted a few days ago saying

IT issues at Deutsche Bahn mean some London tickets are not available for sale. Check your search and contact us [email protected] if you need
So, looks like it's a blip

In general though, for the best prices on these, you need to book 88-92 days out. You can't generally book >92 days out, and within a few days the very cheapest tickets will have gone...

The same exclamation mark button on the DB booking site today says bookings will now be possible from 19th January.
