Photo Trip Report: Paris - Berlin in a Sleeping Car Train
 

Well, I was in Paris and needed to go to Berlin. So I took the EuroNight EN 453 train between both cities.
The ticket for a bed in a four-person compartment cost around EUR 167. The train was rather empty, so I had the cabin all to myself.

The new Siemens sleeping cars are very good. The individual air conditioning system works well. Each compartment is equipped with a wash basin. The conductors sell tea or coffee for EUR 1 per cup.

Just be aware that Interrail/Eurrail or other Railpasses are not valid on this train.

Is that because it's Russian-operated, even though it's traveling in the Eurail/Interrail zone?
