Clarify money difference????

Help, I am going to London and 5 other countries. I will purchase a Global pass. They say I need to reserve a seat when I travel however, in london I plan to go back and forth from LHR to downtown during the Olympics a couple times some even is the same day. Do I have to BUY a ticket for each time? What good is the pass? What is meant by "Unlimited Travel"?

One last thing, does anyone know if the local travel is good in and around the major cities in Europe?

Whilst I'm sure that plans have been made for public transport in the Olympic period in London, I don't think you have given us enough information as to what routings you plan to take.

Similarly

if the local travel is good in and around the major cities in Europe?
is far too vague to answer as you don't name the countries or cities concerned.

For routings and train journeys I suggest you look at www.deutschebahn.de which is accurate and covers Europe as well as Germany. Normally tickets in Europe are sold 12 weeks before travel.
