New Year's Eve in Warsaw. What to do?

I'm going to be in Warsaw for a few nights around New Year's. I've been doing some searching online for events, but can't really find anything other than an outdoor concert for the public. While that's not bad, are there any other options that I'm missing?

And are most stores/museums closed on New Year's Day?

Not sure on the closure of places on New Years day (I would assume they would be) but for the night, see if you can get a dinner/party in one of the hotels like intercontinental. Or as a few friends are doing in Krakow, they are having a dinner at a restaurant then to a club for the New Year.
almost every club/pub/hotel will have some sort of New Year party

I will be from the 29th to the 31st Dec in WAW again, but will fly back at noon, so that I can celebrate NYE at SZG.

But there are some nice FTs at WAW , they should know, what to do at NYE !!

I did NYE on the square in Krakow 3 years ago, it was a blast.

I am sure there is a outdoor concert and festivities in Warsaw in the old town near the royal palace. Usually thousands attend.

Some Poles like to go to celebrate NYE at formal banquets (with plentiful food and booze). Most clubs/pubs should be doing a NYE event as well, especially the ones around old town will be full with people partying it up before heading out to the square before midnight.
