The world's most extreme ice pack. An article in today's SMH.
Here's the fun part:

Stripped to your undies in minus 120 degrees [SMH Travel]
Dr Jan barks orders to walk around in a circle, and get the blood flowing. We look like absolute imbeciles, marching around in a big freezer, scantily clad and flapping our hands around in order to keep them working properly.

After two minutes of this, everything has become much harder. It feels like a real effort to take every step - the body and brain cease to feel all that connected.

Once we emerge, a great icy steam blast comes with us - the waiting room looks like a misty swamp. But now's the time for us to feel the benefits. We're led towards the gym, and let loose on the exercise bikes, cross-trainers and rowing machines.

Whether it's the flow of blood, or the dulling of pain receptors that does it, I'm not quite sure, but I'm supercharged. I'm cycling on the hill settings at a frantic pace, far faster than the usual trudge, and 500m on the rowing machine is easily completed in under two minutes.

I feel like I could undergo a ludicrously extended Rocky-like training montage. Actually, maybe that's what the headband's for?

What is unsettling is the odd feeling that continues for a few hours afterwards. My joints still feel a little detached over dinner. But then again, after applying the world's most extreme ice pack, that's probably to be expected.
Thee's an old thread on Bratislava and Poprad accommodation here, if you are interested.

I wonder if it's worth a visit. Maybe better to just drive from VIE?
