Things to do and to see in Prague
I'll be heading to Prague on the 21st of Dec till the 27th of Dec with my girlfriend. Any recommendations on things to see or to do there? Do they have christmas market in prague as well?

Scott,
Check out this thread. http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthrea...ghlight=prague Also, Flyertalk offers a 'search' function. Click back to the main forum; then type in Prague where it says 'search'. You'll get loads of reading material. We had a great time. Dan |
Not a lot of info on Prague during winter around, I've already searched FT as I'm heading there the first week of December and my previous five trips have always been in the summer, like that of the thread linked by the above poster.
There are apparently Christmas markets http://www.pragueexperience.com/even...as_markets.asp I can post some further info after I'm back from my trip |

Thanks for all the reply. Any recomendation on any restaurant to dine in for christmas eve? (preferbly good food and nice ambience with a moderate price)

Just got back from Prague.
The Christmas markets are on Starometske Namesty (large one but mostly food stalls, the setting is the nicest as the Old Town Square set up for Xmas is gorgeous, do try the Prague ham roasted on a spit before you), Vaclave Namesty and Havelska. The Havelska is the one I liked best and it was slightly less crowded. Locals told us that this winter is proving to be exceptionally mild, with temperatures about 5C above usual averages, and I can confirm that. Restaurant prices in Prague are still quite moderate. If you go to simple Czech style "restaurace" and stick to beer it is really hard to go above a 15 euro per person tab (my fav in this category is the Vojvanov Dvur in Mala Strana). If you like game and want to dine in style, try the U Modre Kachnicky in the Old Town (about 30 euro per person with wine, have the hotel book it for you) |
Will be going to PRG in late April, any update info with regards to things to do and places to see? TIA.
