Sent my parents on an award trip to Berlin and they got mighty lost in the new mainstation :) . The upside is that they now are less afraid of airports. |

The 'ICN' tilt trains are contemporary as well. |

The 'ICN' tilt trains are contemporary as well. commuter trains Zuerich-Winterthur. But I still fail to see the pattern when a new car is used or one from Victoria's times.

I noticed this annoyance this very morning, ridiculous that the ICE services have no apparent powerpoints (although some seats DO have them near the floor for the vacuum cleaners for those cheeky enough, and clever enough not to leave their EU adaptor in Vienna ;)) The IC trains though, have power points throughout in 1st and 2nd class. |

The older ICE trains have power outlets two. At the seats with the table are power outlets between table and window. I have used them quite a bit on my way from Düsseldorf to Berlin in the past.
At the new ICE Trains (T), e.g. from QKL to FRA are outlets at least between every other seat. I prefer the single seat, as you do not have another passengers who tries to read your laptop screen while using his cell phone. If your business is industruial espionage, take a seat in a saloon car and hear to the calls of the other passengers :D . Very interesting .... but that is a bit off topic ... |
