So more Mojo for me then!? :)

Any chance to act as a backseat driver then? I reckon the signs are there so
people do not interfere with the pilot/driver or whatever one calls an ICE3
astronaut.
Yes! The ICE-T (not 3) astronaut asked us to join him in his cabin we when drove through the new "Hauptbahnhof" on Wednesday before the opening. Was really intersting to be in the cockpit and talk with him for a while. And see the new station through the front of the train was pretty cool, too. ^ So at least a little compensation for the power point but normally you get the compensation afterwards and not before the incident.

Was this the new Berlin HBf?
Sent my parents on an award trip to Berlin and they got mighty lost in the new
mainstation :) . The upside is that they now are less afraid of airports.

Yes, I was referring to the new Berlin mainstation called "Berlin Hauptbahnhof" (or Berlin HBf) former "Lehrter Bahnhof".

But at this incident I described above I was in a train and the mainstation was not offically opened, so could get lost there ;)

The double-decker cars are only used on the Geneva-St.Gallen route (whose tunnels and underpasses have been adapted), on trains numbered IC 7xx.

The 'ICN' tilt trains are contemporary as well.

Not only - I used them quite extensively on the routes Zuerich-Chur and on the
commuter trains Zuerich-Winterthur. But I still fail to see the pattern when a
new car is used or one from Victoria's times.

That is a lovely development. No one shall further claim that second class pax are
second class people for DB. Or more precisely that first class pax are not
second class people...

What a flippant thing to say.

I noticed this annoyance this very morning, ridiculous that the ICE services have no apparent powerpoints (although some seats DO have them near the floor for the vacuum cleaners for those cheeky enough, and clever enough not to leave their EU adaptor in Vienna ;))

The IC trains though, have power points throughout in 1st and 2nd class.

Even asked the conductor if there were any powerpoints for the vacuum cleaners near the place we were sitting so that I could at least charge the battery and work later on, but he had no clue. But aktually I survived it and for the future I'll check fernbahn.de to be on a train with powerpoint.

Follow this link: www.reisezuege.ch (->search train number)

Whilst I'm enjoying my ride on the quiet carraige, you can use your power points on

-SBB EW IV AS-car
-SBB IC2000 AD-car

...and of course on the ICN.

The older ICE trains have power outlets two. At the seats with the table are power outlets between table and window. I have used them quite a bit on my way from Düsseldorf to Berlin in the past.

At the new ICE Trains (T), e.g. from QKL to FRA are outlets at least between every other seat.

I prefer the single seat, as you do not have another passengers who tries to read your laptop screen while using his cell phone.

If your business is industruial espionage, take a seat in a saloon car and hear to the calls of the other passengers :D . Very interesting .... but that is a bit off topic ...

Actually not! That's why I started this thread. I was quite sure that there are power points at least at the seats with table but in my case there where none :(

:D You are so right. There are always guys who want to inform the hole train about their business.
