Georgia Skiing??
 

I am heading to K'ut'aisi in mid-late January and looking for info on possible skiing in Georgia. Any recommendations for hotels - food in Tbilisi?

Don't know of any skiing opportunities. In Tbilisi I usually stay at the Marriott downtown, good location and well appointed rooms (plush and formal) but not cheap. Just down the street there is a Marrriott Courtyard, but I've never stayed there.
If you want to stay a little bit away from downtown the Sheraton Metechi Palace is a good choice. Wide open atrium design and Scandinavan-type room decor.

Gudauri and Bakuriani are the main ski areas there. Bakuriani is still more popular I believe.

In Tbilisi, the main Marriott gets more of the government and business crowd than the Courtyard Marriott. I'd take that over the Sheraton.
