Where & How to fly cheap to Munich, Germany
 

I am a BIG TIME newbie to this forum. I have only posted here once and that was over a year ago. I am looking despartely to find something decent from Cincinnati, Louisville, or Lexington to Munich, Germany in the month of August. One stupid day about two weeks ago there was a airline that came up with $650 (US Airways) a ticket and I didn't jump on it because it was my 2nd day looking at prices. Since then I haven't found a thing under $1,000. HELP!!! (please) :)

Maybe try searching flights into a larger airport and taking one of those super-cheap intra-European carriers or a train to Munich. Your best bet probably would be with Delta from CVG to FRA. Also try SideStep.com . It checks several databases at once and sometimes picks up things that I didn't see anywhere else.

This is one of the few occasions that joining UA silver wings pays. $520 to $900, depending upon time of year.

Guess I am going to have to look into United Airlines Silver Wings program. I have never heard of it.

So far the fastest flights to Munich have been on Air France, CVG to Paris, to Munich, but they cost pretty much the same as all the others, around $1,100 a piece.
