Concentration Camps

Hello, my name is Marc Terrance, I have published a guidebook for travelers wishing to visit the Concentration Camp Memorials.
I personally visited each of these places to document the travel directions.
I also had the privilege of visiting with a Holocaust Survivors group. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life. They were very excited about my project and welcomed me with warmth and friendship.

GUIDE BOOK:
"Concentration Camps, A Traveler's Guide to World War II Sites" by Marc Terrance.

Available On-Line from "Amazon.com", "BarnesandNoble.com"
and directly from the publisher at "upublish.com/books/terrance.htm"

Please Visit my Webpage with links to the above: http://www.ConcentrationCampGuide.com

Welcome to Flyertalk.

If you check this forum under my screen name, you'll see I did a trip report that included Terezin. A very moving and humbling experience.

Matthausen in Austria is very moving and eerie ... it is in a beautiful setting near the Danube valley, like an idealic resort, yet the scene of so much suffering and heartbreak. To the credit of the Austrian government it has been preserved as a memorial that glosses over none of the facts. I was very surprised to learn that it all started with the Spanish civil war (internees were kept there from that conflict! an aspect of history that has definitely been glossed over).

Am I the only one who thinks that this is nothing but shameless advertising?

No you are not the only one. And considering the subject of the book, it seems especially shameless.

I do not understand your comment. You write this is "useful". Could you please explain how this is useful?

So what if it's advertising. The book is certainly "not shameless" and I will go out and buy it. Thank you for informing of this great book.

It is useful for those of us whose relatives were in the camps and want to visit them. For you it may not be useful. Get it?
