Anyone flying into T2?
 
Just wondering if anyone is flying into T2 at LHR in the next few days?

If so, can you see if there's a "duty free" type shop in arrivals, that's selling Lanson Champagne at 25 for 2 bottles?

I had heard (from a less than 100% reliable source) that the T2 arrivals area was to be extended out into the existing meet and greet area to allow for a shop to be installed (!). In any event, I would imagine that missing the slightest retail opportunity is enough to keep the BAA managers awake at night, so I would guess we will see some sort of shop in due course.

If you do not have checked baggage you can make your way from T2 via the Europier (which is a shared T1/T2 pier - if you are lucky your aircraft will be on the Europier anyway), then through the T1 arrivals, and then there is an arrivals duty free right after customs.

Not possible if your checked baggage is on a carousel in T2 though.
