the Steigenburger EXPRIX use to be an Air Force Officers Transient Hotel. It has a van to the Terminal and is located on the oposite side of the runways (rooms are soundproofed)..They have a huge Breakfast Buffet..Rates were fairly inexpensive when I was there a few months ago ( 71 euro)
A lot less expensive than the sheraton....
There are hotels in Raunheim with vans. That is about a 10 minute ride.

The Airport Sheraton is quite expensive... If you have a small budget look into the Holiday Inn Express. Or try some days before you travel via www.hrs.de a german booking engine with usually good rates in the last-minute timeframe.

Is there any day-use hotel in Frankfurt?
I am planning to arrive there 06:00 and leave there at around 23:00. I would love to retire to some hotel which would offer day-use.
Thanks!

Frankfurt Airport hotels:
Sheraton: direct access to Terminal 1
via bridge
Ok, kind of old, but I like the convenience
very $$$ (overpriced)
Novotel: shuttle service, but shuttle was always full, the negative.
Prices are decent, good breakfast buffet,
clean and comfy, nicer than the Sheraton, but further away.
Steigenberger: never been, only seen from distance. Had a decent rate booked then had to cancel. How is the view of the planes from this hotel?
Where is the Holiday Inn Express?
There is an Asteron or something like that. We passed that going to the Novotel. Would def. be cheap, small hotel.
FRA really does need to add some new hotels.
I think there was talk of adding a new hotel across from Terminal 2. Then maybe the prices at the Sheraton will come down.
As for day rooms, the Sheraton would be your best bet.
