MCT at Brussels?
 

Anyone have experience of transferring at BRU? I'll arrive on SN (Brussels Airlines) and then need to switch to BA, on separate tickets with a checked bag, so assuming it'll be more like an hour and a half minimum, rather than the MCT of 50mins on the BRU website.

Seperate tickets + Checked bag = anything under 3 hours is tempting fate. BA check-in closes 60 mins before departure.

Depends on where you arrive from and at what time. If arriving from Schengen it may not be too bad but if arriving from non-Schengen early morning 3 hours won’t be enough to go through passport control to retrieve your checked baggage and re-check it.

Thanks both. Glad I booked the later BA flight. Coming in from VCE on SN on a Saturday afternoon, and connecting to the early evening BA to LHR and onwards to ABZ,

Its all about your risk threshold,

With checked bags, and the risk of having to collect and re check, 90 minutes would be well below my risk threshold.

If you book a ba ticket with fcod, then book a later flight andnif all goes will, up to one hour bevore departure of the earlier flight, you can same day chang, subject to space being available in your cabin
