Advice please
 

I had booked a week in Naples in March solo. Now American friends want to join in but extend the journey from Italy to another European destination.
I would like to accommodate their request as they are always great hosts to me in the USA.
I need suggestions for where I can take my, very well traveled, friends please.

I just checked and see nonstop flights from Naples to Palermo (Sicily) and Malta. I enjoyed both destinations. Have your friends visited both of those places already? I think Malta would be an easy place to visit with a lot of great sights.

I know I'm late, but I would have advised to stay in Italy, and...
I presume the usual Rome, Florence, Siena, Pisa was too banal

So visit the Sorrento Peninsula or fly to Sardinia

If you wanted to good somewhere else Croatia would be nice.

Thank you. We’ve all experienced Rome, Florence Amalphi etc. wanted to try Naples as never tried Pompeii. May indeed look to Croatia as the contrasting cultures/food seems very interesting. Thank you again-great suggestion.
