Does anyone know if there is a possibility to have a PCR test in JTR airport (Santorini) ? No info on JTR website. Alternatively in Oia. Thanks in advance

For anyone in Athens that wants to get tested, I will share what we did.

We went to the Central Athens Clinic,

The process went like this.
  • Arrived about 5PM without and appointment.
  • There were two lines, one for people with appointments and one for people without.
  • As soon as we got in line, a person minding the front door asked us why we were there and gave us a number that was used for queue priority.
  • We then got called inside to pay and get get our details taken, we did rapid antigen and it was 20 Euros.
  • We then waited outside for our name and number to be called and our test taken (saliva test).
  • It was not long after that and we were called again with negative results.
  • Since we needed documentation for travel, we needed to go upstairs to floor 1, room 13 and get a stamped document showing negative result.
  • It was fairly busy and a little confusing but it really only took about 45 minutes all in.
Make sure to take your passport if you plan to get tested.

Looks like the Netherlands dropped the negative RT-PCR test requirement for passengers transiting AMS effective June 1st. That just made our journey a lot less stressful!

What a wonderful and timely thread. Finally an overseas trip.

Friend and I depart for Greece on 9 June. ATH-JNX ultimately. Flying through LHR outbound. Direct ATH-USA on return. AA on all but the LHR-ATH (BA) ATH-JNX (GQ) and JNX-ATH (OA) legs.

Summarizing what I understand from this thread (and elsewhere):

1. PCR test within three days of final US-LHR segment and UK locator form for transit @ LHR
2. CDC card and Greek form for entry to Greece at ATH
3. Rapid antigen test on Naxos within three days of return flight to US
(4. VeriFly "passes" for UK and USA)

Item #4 is optional, but recommended by AA to speed things along. Not sure I buy it, but not seeing any downside, other than more red tape.

Anyone see any holes here? Thank you.

Looks like we will have to do our Covid test in Crete ahead of return to the US. ... Before I start chasing down sites myself, anyone got a lead?

(was hoping the US would go to just vaccine card ... but not yet https://travel.state.gov/content/tra...eas%20location.)

What part of Crete? I follow a FB thread that is pretty Crete intensive and they would know. Perhaps email the hotel you are staying at as well. They must have other guests in similar situations.

My partner used this place near the airport in Heraklion https://irodotosmed.gr/?lang=en - 60EUR for PCR, i *think* 20EUR for Antigen. Not anything special but did the trick. I think her PCR results came back just under 48h

departing Crete for mykonos via athens. Not even once asked about vaccinations at Heraklion

made the mistake of not checking in online last night and almost didnt get seats on our flight to Mykonos. I think because we had a connecting flight they bumped someone in athens from their flight.

expecting it to be busier in Mykonos. Did see tour buses start to arrive in Chania

Make sure you have this form filled out. https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/F...-English-p.pdf

YMMV but BA at ATH cared a lot about it yesterday and they collected it at LHR before we boarded. We forgot all about it but they had a version preprinted that we could fill out and sign.
